people

People disappoint,

This is true,

People are selfish,

This is true,

Give anyway,

This is God’s will for you

The present

Many people will walk in and out of your life,

but only true friends leave footprints in your heart.

To handle yourself, use your head; to handle others, use your heart.

Anger is only one letter short of danger.

If someone betrays you once, it is his fault;

if he betrays you twice, it is your fault.

Great minds discuss ideas; average minds discuss events;

small minds discuss people. He who loses money, loses much;

he who loses a friend, loses much more; he who loses faith, loses all.

Beautiful young people are accidents of nature,

but beautiful old people are works of art.

Learn from the mistakes of others.

You can’t live long enough to make them all yourself.

Friends, you and me. . . you brought another friend. . .

and then there were three. . .

we started our group. . .

our circle of friends. . .

and like that circle. . .

there is no beginning or end. . .

yesterday is history.

Tomorrow is a mystery.

Today is a gift.

That is why they call it the present.

the bus

I am now into almost a month in my new job and I’m loving it.  I have had to make some changes in my commute to get here though.  I have to catch the local Park ‘n Ride, where I pick up the local Metro Bus to get to work downtown.  The bus is funny because there are so many different types of people that get on them.  You have business types, young people, old people, middle aged people, the classy and not so classy.  All races and ethnic backgrounds as well.  I believe any given bus, even in your local city, shows the uniqueness of our culture today.  How diverse and broad we are and that America truly is a melting pot of all peoples around the globe.

Just an observation that I wanted to make.  So here’s to saving money and spending more time, but less headache on the local transportation in my city which in my case is THE BUS!
