“Aaron and Hur stayed up his hands…and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun.”  Exodus 17:12

I do believe in strength in numbers.  Scripture discusses how 2 cords are easily broken, but 3 can withstand much.  So it was with Moses.  Aaron and Hur helped hold Moses’ arms up when he was in need.  As we do, when we are in need.  We need friends to help us.  This world is not meant to live in a bubble.  It’s meant to live in the world, but not to be of it.  We need to influence our world in a positive light and when we fall and need help, that’s when our friends are there to help us out.

Thank You to all my Awesome and Wonderful friends out there who have helped me out when I have needed you. I have had a rough few years and I know that without you wonderful friends of mine, I would be in a real tough place.

‘Thank you Father for wonderful friends in my life and in our lives, who make life worth living. Amen.’

Prayer for New Year

Lord, we are your people, the sheep of your flock.

Heal the sheep who are wounded.

Touch the sheep who are in pain.

Clean the sheep who are soiled.

Warm the sheep who are cold.

Help us to know thy love through Jesus and the Holy Spirit.

Help us to life up that love, and show it all over this land.

Help us to build love on justice and justice on love.

Help us to believe mightily, hope joyfully and love divinely.

And renew us, so that we may help renew others on Earth.

“When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him.”  Isaiah 59:19

Blessed are we who are under His protection, those of us who know where our help comes from, those of us who know that “You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.”

Thank you Abba Father, for your protection in times of trouble and all the time.  Amen.

help me

Father I pray that you will help me in my path today and everyday as I go through this life.  I am pushed on every side by so many things that can be distracting.  I need you to guide me and direct me so that I choose what is right and not what is temporal.  I life up all my worries and concerns to you today, like every day, and all the more today.  Make my spirit sensitive to you and to what you would have me do.  Help me be a blessing to others as you are to me for this life is not about me.  Help me Lord today.  In Jesus’ name, Amen.

The fruit of the spirit is Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Gentleness, Faithfulness and Self Control.  Against such things there is no law.   Galatians 5:22,23

There are many places around your city that need help right now.  I know were all caught up and busy right now, but I for one am going to go to the Star of Hope Mission tomorrow and help serve.  That’s my plan and I’m sticking to it.   Help and servanthood is what this season is about too, so go and help some homeless people in need, you will feel better about what you did and help people in the process too.

‘Tis the Season

There is a way that seems right to man, but the Lord tests the heart and ways.

When times get tough,

tough get going.

Life takes wild turns,

turn with them.

Do these words feel good?

No, I don’t think so.

Where does my help come from, it comes from the Lord!

That which you give into, controls you.

I have thought about that statement above for a few days.  Does that mean for the good and the bad?  Because initially I thought about the bad stuff, but then I thought, well what about the good stuff as well?

If we reap what we sow…then what are we sowing and reaping?  What are you receiving in your life lately?  Are you receiving love and praise and blessings?  or are you receiving pain, strife, stress and trouble?

I believe there is a correlation to this.  I understand bad circumstances happen to everyone, but I’m speaking on a larger scale.  That scale of which is your everyday for the past month.  Have you been able to see and appreciate the good in your life and bless others with it?  Or are you pessimistic about everything you see on the street and in your life and hoarding your blessings?  Do you recognize that you are?

Let’s pray that God will help us make that change:

Father, I praise you first and foremost.  I ask Lord that you will guide me in this day and help me be a blessing to others as you are a blessing to me.  Help me to share and give love and recognize the good in others.  In Jesus’ name.  Amen.
