“The (Holy)Spirit also helpeth in our infirmities.” Romans 8:26
Thank you Lord, that your always with us when we fall, fail and are in times of trouble and need. Your so good God, and we can’t help but to sing your praises all day long.
Blessings!
no more excuses

The next time you think you have an
excuse why God can’t use you,
remember the following people:
Noah was drunk,
Abraham was too old,
Isaac was a daydreamer,
Jacob was a liar,
Leah was ugly,
Joseph was abused,
Moses was a murderer (like David and
Paul),
Deborah was a woman,
Gideon was afraid,
Samson had long hair,
Rahab was a prostitute,
Jeremiah and Timothy were too young,
David pretended to be mad, had an
affair
and ran away from his own son,
Elijah was suicidal,
Isaiah preached naked,
Jonah ran away from God,
Naomi was a widow,
Job was bankrupt,
John the Baptist ate locusts,
Peter was impulsive and hot-tempered,
John was self-righteous,
the disciples fell asleep while
praying,
Martha worried about everything,
Mary was so Jesus minded she was no
earthly good,
Mary Magdalene was demon-possessed,
the boy with the fish and five rolls of
bread was too unknown (and still is),
the Samaritan woman was divorced – more
than once,
Zacchaeus was too small,
Paul was too religious,
Timothy had a stomach ulcer, and
Lazarus was dead.
No more excuses!
YOUR Ministry

Disciple Time
As a result, Jesus stopped his public ministry among the
people and left Jerusalem. He went to a place near the
wilderness, to the village of Ephraim, and stayed there with
his disciples.
— John 11:54 (NLT)
KEY THOUGHT:
In all four Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, John), we learn that the last
part of Jesus’ ministry was specifically focused on teaching and
preparing his disciples. Many in the crowd turn away and the
determination of his opponents to kill him is growing. Jesus recognizes
that he has a short time to prepare his disciples for his “departure”
and the responsibilities they have to minister in his absence. Despite
Jesus’ example, many of us fail to share our vision and our ministries
with others who can carry them on after we are gone and help us take
advantage of the opportunities that God is giving us now. Let’s hear
from Jesus’ example the vital importance of sharing our visions,
dreams, and ministries with others while we still have time.
TODAY’S PRAYER:
Father of grace and mercy, thank you for giving me the abilities that I
have and the opportunities to use them for your glory and for the work
of your Kingdom. Open my eyes, dear Father, to those around me with
whom I can share the passion, understanding, and ministry opportunities
you have given me. In Jesus’ name I ask it. Amen.

“I count all things but loss for the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord” Philippians 3:8
To know Jesus as YOUR Lord & Savior is as special as it gets. To know that He has unconditional love for you is a complete feeling of contentment even as the world judges you. To know that there is someone who loves you unconditionally without judgement and without ulterior motives is the best feeling and knowledge in the entire world. A FREE gift for all who accept. The best things in life are Free and so is the Gift of Salvation!!

anything

“With God all things are possible “ Matthew 19:26
Prayer can do anything that God can do. - E.M. Bounds
The question is, do you believe that? Scripture tells us to ask and believe! Don’t ask for something and not believe…why did you ask then if you didn’t believe? Of course, to ask for something in what God would grant is right according to His word, don’t ask for something that is bad or unscriptural. Do remember that His ways are higher than our ways and His thoughts higher than ours as well. He knows what’s best for us, but asking is still important as we are spending time in prayer and communion with Him.
Thought: Let’s check our motives and desires and reasons that we ask for something in prayer before we ask it.
Blessings!
early in the morning

“I myself will awake early” Psalm 57:8
The relation of our spiritual life compared to our morning time of prayer equates to the strength of our Walk with our Lord. Jesus himself woke early to pray. Most Pastors awake early to pray and spend time in devotion to our Father who art in Heaven. I think that what you do before you leave home is important. Early in the morning is relative to the time you wake up. For me, I do pray most every morning bowed before Him, to let myself and Him know that He is everything to me. That the time spent is worth every second and also gets my focus and my day started positively. Letting our Abba Father know how much He means to us is the most important thing.
David wrote this Psalm and knowing that he was declared “A man after God’s own heart” speaks volumes to what David’s priority was, even though he wasn’t perfect. What does that tell us?
Find time every morning to spend with Him in anyway you can.
Blessings!
NFL Season begins

I just got back from the first game of 2009 for the Houston Texans. I got season tix this year with my buddy Joe Buffa aka Bubba.
They lost horribly to the Jets and rookie QB Mark Sanchez from USC(great school!) 27-7 was the final. Tough loss, but glad to see football season has started. Look forward to many more fun games in the future. Let’s hope the Texans do better after this disappointing loss.
Cheers!
the Word

From Joe White, menatthecross:
A dear, wise, older friend of mine, Dr. Howard Hendricks, says that if we’ll go to the Word with the following mindsets, the Word will come alive:
Prayerfully–Talking to God before, during and after
Purposefully–Seeking to get all we can from it
Imaginatively–Picturing it like we were there
Possessively–Owning it and hiding it in our hearts.
Patiently–Pondering it and carefully digging into it
Selectively–Asking questions like,
“Who are these people?”
“What’s going on here?”
“Where is this taking place?”
“Why is this being written?”
“What does this change in me today?”
The Word will keep you from sin or sin will keep you from the Word!
