Good Word

It seems to be that time of year when people are getting married or engaged doesn’t it?  The wifey and I went to a good friend’s wedding last weekend.  We had a great time too.  They were so young and happy in love.  It reminded me of when I was that young and had just gotten married.  It was real cool.  I know I’m not that old, but you know, the older you get the more memories you have, right? 

Then today another friend of mine is having an engagement party because she just got engaged.  It is in the air and you know what…it’s a joyous thing.  I’m happy and celebrations like these are good things that happen.  It let’s you know that life is worth living and that love is ALIVE and WELL! 

This reminds me of Jesus at the wedding in Cana.  This is where He turned water into wine for everyone to enjoy.  He understood the need, the love and the celebration of life and love in marriage.  How important it is for the wedding feast to be a celebration and that this imagery is similiar to what the Lord has prepared for those who call upon Him for their salvation.  That a wedding feast is being prepared for us.  What wonderful imagery and joyous hope for a known future that is secure with Him.
