I felt the need to post this as it has been on my heart lately. Throughout Church history, there have been Christian Martyrs(those who died for their belief in Jesus). The first Christian martyr is Stephen, found in Acts 7:54-60.
I want to focus on Cassie’s legacy as a believer in Jesus Christ. She was young, still in high school and full of hope and a bright future. Although she did not know what one day would bring her, she was faced with a serious question, “Do you believe in God?” Now to anyone on the street you would say, “yes I do!” Furthermore, Jesus, as my Lord and Savior, even. But, Cassie was faced with this question with a loaded hand gun in her face! Now the question seems a bit harder doesn’t it? Yes it does. I wonder to myself what I would say and I wonder what you would say? She said “yes” and paid the ultimate price for her faith…her life. We don’t have to worry typically on a daily basis about our lives in regards to persecution to the point of death when it comes to our faith, but others do around the world.
It is debated as to the evidence of Ms. Bernall’s statement, but I believe it is the devil trying to keep down the truth through false accusations and statements. Evidence of Cassie’s faith as stated by her mother and family, is clear and evident.
There are tens of countries around the world today that persecute Christians for their faith, including China, Saudi Arabia and Iran. Please be in prayer for our brothers and sisters around the world who go unnamed as martyr’s for Jesus Christ everyday.
Be grateful for the great and wonderful country we live in here in the USA and for the freedom’s that we take for granted on a daily basis as well. I know I am!!!

“Dear Jesus,
I come to you in need of you. I accept you as my Lord and Savior today. Please forgive me for all my sins I have committed in my life. I believe in you. Give me strength to grow and build my faith in you.
In Jesus name. Amen”
If you said this prayer, please share it with someone close to you and find a church that preaches God’s Word straight from the Bible.
God Bless You.
